Removal of pigmented lesions with Q-switch laser

Candela Alex TriVantage Q-switch is a laser device designed to remove all types of deep pigmented lesions on the skin. It is intended primarily for almost all colours of tattoos removal with three different wavelengths.

Wavelength of 755nm is effective in treating a range of colours inks such as grey, green, purple, turquoise, blue and brown. Beam programmed in nanoseconds or milliseconds in two to three treatments removes age and sun spots from the face and body, congenital hyperpigmentation as well as acquired hyperpigmentation.

Wavelength of 532nm is intended for red and orange tattoos.

Wavelength of 1064nm is suitable for dark skin and is efficient at blue, black and green inks.

What does Candela Alex TriVantage Q-switch laser treatment look like?

The treated field whitens under the laser beam, forming a popcorn-like surface. This happens because the pigment under the influence of a beam is divided into tiny pieces, allowing for the lymphocytes to take it away. After a few hours of treatment, the pigment darkens and the surrounding skin becomes slightly red. It takes 7 days to recover from the treatment and it takes 1 to 2 months for the pigmented lesions to disappear, when the second treatment is performed.

No scar remains after the procedure. Since the Q-switch laser contributes to the collagen production, the surface of the scar tissue is repaired.

This laser can completely remove the entire tattoo ink. The exceptions are yellow and white inks, which cannot be treated.
